Dwayne and Roberta washing up before we begin our meal!In Ethiopia the tradition is to eat with your right hand (no cutlery)
After a few hours of playing Mamush started to yawn and we were mentally exhausted. The Nurse told us that we would have about 10 more minutes to visit then Mamush would need to go for a nap. Although I knew this ahead of time the thought of leaving him was heartbreaking and difficult....I began to cry we were so close to being together however it would not happen until tomorrow. So we got in as many hugs and kisses as possible and we said our goodbyes one last time. From the moment we left the orphanage to the next day, we began to count down the hours until our family would be together. To take our minds off the circumstances we went out for the evening to an Ethiopia restaurant and take in some local entertainment and traditional food. However, our thoughts were with Mamush. Once we got back to the hotel we thought if we went to bed then morning would come quicker......we were up every hour looking at the clock praying for the morning to arrive.
