Surprise.....Baby Shower!

What a wonderful surprise! My co workers planned a surprise baby shower for me. I had not idea. We were meeting to for supper before attending a charity event, our entire team was here in Saskatoon the ladies from Regina had travelled. However I had no idea what that this evening would turn into my baby shower. It's actually a funny story, I was told we were all meeting at 5:30 pm for supper, however I was in the neighborhood and I passed the restaurant and notice both Sharlene' and Jodi's vehicles. It was just before 5:00 pm, I was on my way to my storage locker and I thought what the heck, they are at the restaurant squeezing in a quick glass of wine.....I won't tell what me next thoughts were! Although very early I decided to join them, not know they were getting ready to surprise me.So there I am showing up at lest 30 mins early.

As I was coming into the restaurant I saw a few of my co workers from Regina and when they same me they looked a little surprised ( who am I kidding I was 30 mins early who would not be surprised!) then turned around immediately and went back up the stairs, at this point I was thinking what the heck is going on....everyone is here but me! I still believe it or not had no idea at this point what was happening. As I went up the stairs I thought I'm going to give them the what for....for not calling me to come early considering everyone was there. As I came around the corner they all yelled Surprise! And surprised I was.... The room was beautifully decorated with balloons, flowers, baby blocks, mom's survival basket(which I think will defiantly in handy) they had a LCD set up with Mom's Jeopardy game testing my knowledge on nursery rhymes and much more baby stuff.....it was absolutely perfect. The thoughtfulness, time and effort that went into planning this is overwhelming. The one challenge with this adoption process has been not really feeling like it is "real" or that it is simply "ever" going to happen. At the moment when I came around the corner our adoption felt like it was very real. What a feeling after this 3 1/2 year journey! Words can't say how thankful I am to you all for this very special evening. I had so much fun and just the event in itself and you all there sharing this moment with me made me feel like a MOM!
